Research Team presents findings on Mexican Mummy Research
A research team, led by professors Jerry Conlogue and Ron Beckett revealed its research findings Aug. 30 from a unique investigation of 22 mummies found in Guanajuato, Mexico.
The press conference was held at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford.
Ronald Beckett and Jerry Conlogue, are the co-directors of Quinnipiac University's Bioanthropology Research Institute and former hosts of National Geographic's Mummy Road Show.
The third member of the team is Jerry Melbye, director of the Forensic Anthropology Center at Texas State University. Yvette Bailey, director of Quinnipiac's Radiology Assistant Program, also participated in the examination process and will assist with presenting findings at the press conference.

Developing Radiology and Radiography Practice: Expanding the Boundaries Thursday 11th October 2007
The British Institute of Radiology (BIR) is organising a one-day scientific meeting Radiology and Radiography practice and its developments. The meeting will be a series of presentations on scenarios where current technologies have been used to allow high quality imaging, where previously this would have been very difficult or impossible.

Australian crime lab complains of backlog
The Victoria, Australia, Law Institute said this week that a backlog in forensic testing is leading authorities to release defendants and delay court cases by as much as a year.

New web-based newsletters to be launched
We apologise for the lack of newsletters over recent months whilst we have been working to develop our website. In order to provide a more dynamic and interactive resource for our members, we propose to publish web-based newsletters in place of the previous pdf format with effect from summer 2007.
In place of an email with a pdf attchment, you will receive an email with a link to the newsletter. We hope to have our first web-newsletter ready for publication in late July.
