Postmortem CT Interpretation 4 day course
This intensive short course is designed for forensic pathologists (incl. trainees) and radiologists (incl. trainees) with an interest in forensic imaging, as well as radiographers and general pathologists. The course consists of a preliminary half-day introduction to CT imaging for pathologists, and forensic pathology for radiologists. This is followed by 3 mornings of didactic lectures on the principles and prac ce of post-mortem CT and the application of
CT techniques to death inves ga on with “hands-on” sessions
in the a ernoons.
Participants will have the opportunity to perform image manipulation on thin-client workstations and work up real forensic cases pertinent to the morning’s lectures. A tour of the mortuary- based CT facility at VIFM will also be available.
