Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in Forensic Imaging - Paul Hunter, Lecturer in Medical Imaging, Teesside University
Radiographers deal with a range of stressful situations in their day-to-day practice, but potential stressors are even wider ranging and more extreme in a forensic setting – especially when imaging the deceased. This may lead radiographers to develop symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This webinar will discuss PTSD in relation to forensic imaging, with a particular focus on Disaster Victim Identification (DVI).
Following the presentation we shall open a discussion session with attendees, led by radiographers with experience of imaging in a DVI setting.
